SEASON OF COLOURS

Autumn, in all its splendor

Fall at Mont Rigaud is a season unlike any other. The air grows cooler, the leaves turn vibrant colors, and the mountain takes on a hue that can only be seen once a year. An invitation to slow down and follow nature's rhythm which is quietly getting ready for winter, and to savor these few golden weeks before the snow takes over.

AUTUMN HIKING

A FEAST FOR THE EYES AND LUNGS

There's something special about a fall hike at Mont Rigaud. The back-to-school rush is over, the pace slows down, and suddenly you realize you need some fresh air. The crisp morning air, the smell of fallen leaves, the silence between the trees. Our five trails all lead to the summit, where Adirondack chairs, a fireplace for cooler days, and a view of the region await you.

Accessible to everyone, young and old, fit or not. Your four-legged companions are welcome.

Want to start at the top? Fall weekends, 10 am to 6 pm, the ski lift is accessible to pedestrians for a small surcharge.

From September 12 to October 25, 2026, the Mont Rigaud Shuttle allows you to enjoy the colors without a car!

COLOURS WEEKENDS

OCTOBER 10–11–12, 17–18, 2026

Every fall, Mont Rigaud turns into a true seasonal celebration. Chairlift rides, local musicians around the fire at the summit, giant inflatable games, local microbreweries and producers, food trucks, and a big used equipment sale: everything's here for a memorable day with family, friends, or on your own.

MOUNTAIN BIKING CONTINUES

SWEATER WEATHER, AND YOU'RE OFF

Mountain bikers know it well: fall on the mountain is a different vibe, and it's worth the trip. The ground is firm, the air nips at your cheeks, colours explode on both sides of the trails, and the mountain almost feels like it's all yours. Time to layer up, don't forget your gloves, and savour every descent.

Before each weekend, fallen leaves are blown off the trails to offer the best possible conditions. The chairlift stays in operation until the end of October, and the trails remain open until snowmaking begins.
